The Kobudo World championship among adults and Iternational Compeptitions among children were held in Malta 15-16 of march 2019. The event was organised by the the World kobudo association, International Kobudo Association and supported by Malta Tourism Authority and Ministry of Sports.
Over 250 athletes from 29 countries of the three continents: Eurasia, Africa, South America (Scotland, Egypt, France, Spain, Croatia, Denmark, Sweden, Czechia, Ukraine, Poland, Ireland, Portugal, Wales, Malta, Finland, Turkey, Romania, Jordan, England, Italy, Slovakia, Greece, Switzerland, Israel, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Belgium, Russia) participated in kobudo-kata, kobudo-kumite item (nunchaku fighting) and kata taiho-jitsu. The event was a great success and all that attended enjoyed the high quality of kobudo.
In the overall standings the most successful was the representation of Russia who won 5 gold medals. Second place went to the team Malta, the team of England took the third place.
