The event was organised by the the World kobudo association, International Kobudo Association and supported by Malta Tourism Authority and Ministry of Sports. Over 250 athletes from 29 countries of the three continents: Eurasia, Africa, South America (Scotland, Egypt, France, Spain, Croatia, Denmark, Sweden, Czechia, Ukraine, Poland, Ireland, Portugal, Wales, Malta, Finland, Turkey, Romania, Jordan, England, Italy, Slovakia, Greece, Switzerland, Israel, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Belgium, Russia) participated in kobudo-kata, kobudo-kumite item (nunchaku fighting) and kata taiho-jitsu.
